Happy Deepavali!

Deepavali is the Hindu festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil. It is known as the festival of lights. In honor of this national holiday, Tammy and I headed over to the Batu Caves. This means Stone Caves in Bahasa Malay. The cave serves as one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside of India. It was quite the site, but we'll save the next visit until we get visitors. Then monkeys were too aggressive, but Tammy seemed to enjoy getting as close as she could to get a picture.

This is Tammy and Murugan, a Hindu deity. Can you tell which one is Tammy?

Here are just a few of the Macaque monkeys, which the tourists feed -- sometimes involuntarily.

This is Tammy trying to pet one of the monkeys. Yes, I told her!!!!

Here is Tammy and Buddha (yes, you do see Buddha at Hindu shrines). Can you tell which one is Tammy!!!
